Wheelock College Summer Urban Teacher Program

This state-approved and nationally-recognized program is an accelerated 10 week Master’s-level teacher oriented program for professionals seeking initial certification for grades 1-6 Students enroll for 19 credits but pay for only 10 (summer semester); work with professionals in the education field; study in a cohort model; with hands-on teaching in one of the Boston Public Schools; MTEL preparation; evening and Saturday classes. The summer Urban Teacher Program runs from June-Aug. After completion of the summer semester, students can complete coursework for Master’s degree on a full or part-time basis.
